Engineering office and
applied engineering

The EDSA engineering office is the first point of contact between the customer’s requirement and the manufacturing solution. We take the customer’s drawing and specification as our starting point, and contribute the process expertise needed to make the project viable, efficient and scalable.

    01Drawing analysis

Technical reading and interpretation of the manufacturing drawing: geometry, tolerances, material specification, treatments and reference standards. Early identification of critical aspects that may affect the process or tooling.

    02Feasibility and
    viability study

Technical assessment of the part or assembly from a process perspective: material formability, accessibility for welding, heat treatment requirements and finishing constraints. Documented outcome with the definition of risks and alternatives before committing to tooling investment.

    03Production process definition

Sequencing of operations, selection of equipment and definition of the optimal manufacturing flow for each part number. The basis of the control plan and the starting point for capacity and cost planning.

    04Tooling optimisation

Design and adaptation of stamping, welding and assembly tooling aimed at reducing cost per part, improving repeatability and minimising changeover and adjustment times in production.

    05Technical customer support

Direct technical liaison during the development, industrialisation and series production phases. Management of drawing changes, resolution of non-conformities and support in approval processes (PPAP, APQP, IATF 16949).

    06Adaptation to manufacturing requirements

When the original design presents manufacturability constraints, we propose adjustments to geometry, tolerance or process sequence that preserve the component’s functionality and improve production efficiency. We don’t change the customer’s solution; we make it easier to manufacture.

Shall we talk about your project?

Integration between engineering and production: we ensure the rapid industrialisation of your component.
